HI. I just bought a set of Magregor woods on eBay.

As far as I can tell, they've never seen grass. They were purchased from a golf course that was going out of business.

They came shipped in their original box, with the grips still wrapped.

I'm thinking they are from the late '80's or early 90's, but I'm just guessing.

They are 300 series (see attached photo from the shipping box.

Any info on these clubs would be appreciated. Thanks.

Found out they're from around '79/'80. Stiff flex Response shafts.

That's the question of the hour :-) . I posted on another forum on Facebook for buying/selling clubs, and asked what I should do with them. The overwhelming answer was put them on display. The thought of playing them just broke people's hearts.

So, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I hate the idea of sticking them in an old bag in my office.

If I were to sell them, I'd probably let them go for around $200 CAN, plus shipping (in Ontario, I think I could ship them Canada-wide for around $35.) That's what I paid for them, and I don't want to rook anyone.

Part of me really wants to play them.

The same seller has these Spalding Elite Plus woods for sale. They're laminated, but they're really beautiful clubs. I think I would have preferred these, to be honest.

I might buy them if you're ever in the market to sell them.

    • Day 299: 25 minute putting session on the practice green. Worked on putts from inside 15’ (mostly inside 10’). Feel like I’m rolling it pretty well, but always room for improvement for me.
    • Day 24: 5/15/25 Chipping on indoor carpet and some weight shift work.
    • Day 44 - Hit some wedges with the intention of working on my 100-yard shot, but instead worked the face a bit. Intentionally trying to hit the toe, heel, and center of the face. I definitely have a heel bias, but focusing on turning my body helped to get things in the center.
    • I think for this, I need to work on my weight transfer. I can feel my self looking up early and falling back slightly. So, I am hitting them a bit fat right now. I need to stay on my left side better or get to my left side better. Kind of like old pattern stuff.  Yep, I was a bit worried about the driver since we didn't get to it. First drive was a push draw because I moved the ball back a bit because there is no range to warm up and I wanted to make sure contact was good. I hit it great, just pushed it slightly. I was like, OK, this will work. I moved the ball back to the normal position and the next 4 out of 5 holes I used a driver was just the ball at most 10 yards off my target line. 😃
