Hi guys,

I would like your opinion on this one. I just got the new Adams drivers and had them put the Tour AD YSQ shaft in it. This is supposedly a tour quality shaft but the torque is 3.7 which seems very high to me. Here is the link to their site
http://www.gdintl.com/product.php?cmd=ad&pid;=ysq It feels good but I've not had much time to really test it out. With a driver swing speed of about 102 should I be concerned with this high of torque ?

Thanks in advance

Common misunderstanding, not all tour shafts have to be low torque. Depending on a players tempo some may prefere a higher torque. I wouldn't judge the quality of a shaft by it's torque rating.

The shaft feels a little whippy, but it really feels smooth with a less aggressive move on the ball, ie smooth tempo as you stated. I'm just hoping it doesnt breakdown if I try and put some extra into it. . for 200.00 it better hold up =). i'll report back once I get some more time with it.

Sounds about right. Tempo seems to be the X factor, as it was for me. I can't seem to dial in a shaft with a torque rating higher than 3.2 or so. The V2 and its 2.2 torque works well with my aggressive swing. I also have a friend who uses a low torque shaft, but only swings around 95MPH, but is aggressive.
