I am utterly amazed at how much people will pay for old vokey wedges on ebay I think i will just buy brand new ones, but i wanted i ask if anyone knew a particularly good place to buy them. The best deal i have found on them brand new is 100$ a club tax included. Anybody found better?

Some fool the other day was selling a 56 and a 60 both for 35 bucks on craigslist... I called and he said they sold with in 15 mins.

Moral of the story... Try Craigslist.

So is everything on that site counterfeit? It all looks like the real deal to me. Couldn't someone get in a lot of trouble for producing these clones that look identical to the real thing and even share the same brand name? Should be big lawsuits if these are actually counterfeits.

The one with BV logo on top is the 200 series, which you can find it

here . But easily spotted as fake. Spin Milled version looks just like that. Click here for comparison. Scary, eh?

Yup, everything is knock-offs. I believe they're based in China. The irony is that they really look just like the authentic ones. You really need to have very good eyes and a lot of knowledge about the products in order know which is which. In case if you don't know, many of these stuff are already being sold on eBay on daily basis. So just be very cautious.

Price List:

Order Quantity: FromTo Price 2-4 =$42.00 5-10 =$39.00 11- 30 = $34.00 31- 100 =$31.00 101-Infinity =$29.00 Very tempting huh? 2-4 wedges for $42 each and >101 for $29 each. With MSRP of $125, everyone can set up their own pro shop. Do let us know when the seller replies back.

wow I just went and looked at my vokey wedge and they do look alike, but the lettering is in different areas. Pretty crazy. Note to self, don't by anything golf related from China.

Here is the email that I received from them:

"Dear Dave Parts of our clubs are authorized, and Our factory in china assemble them to whole clubs so price is much cheaper than official shops. All of our clubs have serial No. on it PS. We will sent our clubs as “gift” or “Free sample” so you needn’t to pay any taxes for your items. Have a nice day."

"Part of our clubs are authorized"?

This could mean that they have "authentic" Vokey heads, but fake shaft. Hmm.... Are you going to order at least one?

good info guys, but no one seems to have found a better deal surprisingly. The place i found them for 100$ is at a military golf course where the prices are reasonable and tax isn't included! hehe.

I didn't. $95-$120 seems to be the going rate. http://www.google.com/search?gbv=2#=30=en&newwindow;=1&safe;=off&client;=firefox-a&rls;=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&q;=vokey+wedge+%2B%24&btnG;=Search

If in fact some parts are authorized like the guy said, I would guess it's going to be the head because a lot of club heads are made in China. On contrary, DG shafts, I believe are made in USA (just like it says there on the shaft), thus the shaft would be fake.

Just my thoughts.

    • Good advice. In general, you want to take whatever weight you are lifting to a couple of reps before failure, for muscle growth. There are other tactics for PT related stuff. I would trust your PT person.  For muscle growth, you can go like 30 reps to failure. It is tougher to gauge. Also, it takes 2x as long to do the same number of working sets per week if you are doing 15 instead. It is way less efficient, but your case is special because of the injury/aggravation to the hip.
    • Several years ago I got paired with a twosome of golfers, one of which had a maybe 5-year-old son with him. The kid had a putter and a 7i with him, and on some holes he would drop a ball near the green, chip on, and putt. If the kid started to get distracted, the dad would ask, "Do you need to rest?" The kid would nod yes, and then take his dad's seat riding in the cart for a couple of holes. It was a slow day, and the kid was polite and friendly. We got through 18 just fine. (If it had been a crowded course day, I'm sure it would have been less pleasant.)
    • Caution for the seniors on weight training: Listen to your body. (I'm 75) I got a recent session with an orthopedist after a training-related injury. I put too much weight on a new resistance machine at the gym and ended up with bursitis in my left hip. Of course, it's the hip I dislocated back in 2023. I have my first physical therapy session tomorrow. I remarked that some days I can do 45 lbs. chest press - two sets - without much effort. But other days it drops down to 30 (😩) with just one set. (Complicating factor: I had digestive problems in this fall and lost about 20 lbs., with slip in muscle tone.) Orthopedist said that I want to feel some resistence, but that I should go with lots of reps with manageable weights rather than trying to set some sort of lift-pound record. I'm sure I'll get some refinements on lifting during tomorrow's PT.
