How about soft stepping a stiff or hard stepping a regular. That's always worked for me. Then your no longer a tweener

If you can't get the club back to square with the stiff you'll hit everything right. I played regular shafts last year and did balloon shots to the right or pulled way left. I went back to stiff shafts this year. If you're border line you may want to stay with regular.

Same problem, I'm borderline too. I'm sticking with regular for now because my tempo is pretty slow even though my swing speed is probably 93-95. I figure I'll go to stiff when I get up to 100 mph. Regular shafts just seem lighter and more powerful in my hands right now.

I generally think if you swing over 95mph consistantly you should probably go for a stiff shaft.

M dilema is much like yours..

I am also re shafting, and its almost not how fast you swing, but how you load the club. If you hold the club in a very upright angle for a long time in your swing, you require a different shaft than a "sweeping" swing.

For example, i swing around 95 on a good day, a little less on a bad one.
I went to golfsmith, and demo'd the V2 in both stiff, and reg, when i made a sweeping swing, it went about 240 with the regular flex, but when i tryed to hold the angle longer in my swing with the stiff, i was getting it out to about 265. and if anything, i swung slower with the stiff, so take that into account when you are deciding.

I ended up getting the stiff in my superquad, and will be ordering a 3 wood in Regular, since i am looking for more accuracy than raw distance/

Hope this helps,

Brian.

For what its worth any club I hit with a weak flex baloons and slices to the right.

I'll vote "yes" on that also.
