went out and picked up the 906f4 fairway wood and two cg12 rtg zip groove wedges.

the fairway wood is actually easy to hit given its size. when u flush it, you hear a nice click sound. i hit it about 240 off the tee and about 220 off the deck. this is my first fairway wood in a long time so i'm still working on getting comfy with it off the deck. Do you guys have any tips?? I find myself hitting thin a lot....

The wedges are pure butter. Super soft and bite hard. Couldn't be happier with these.

My clubs are set now:
Titleist 907 D2 driver
Titleist f4 wood
Callaway x forged irons
Cleveland RTG cg12 wedges
Teardrop TD21 putter

Yes, this does happen often. In particular with flatter fairways.

Your dont need to change your swing at all. I would concentrate on ball positioning. I find with the 3 wood off the tee i have it about half an inch off the ground and a little more towards centre-stance off left heel. When i hit it off the deck, i like to place it left of mid stance (like i would a 2-5iron). I would play around with variations of ball placement position.

    • Day 44, June 17.  Today was some preliminary stretching, exploring what I'll want to set up as a regular routine (both while on vacation without clubs and when I'm back) (aside: this is part of an upcoming goal to stretch daily in a meaningful way, but I don't plan to count it as practice on days that I can meaningfully practice with a club)
    • Having a rough week. Went to the Dr. because I was really weak and could hardly swing my driver.  I take Propranolol 20 mg tablets twice a day. Seems like the Propranolol was driving my pulse down (low 50's).  So we cut the dosage in half and I started taking my blood pressure. It was a little high but pulse came up.   Then yesterday I raised it to 15 mg tab by taking it 3 times a day. Blood pressure 127 / 77 Pulse 75.  Heading out tomorrow morning for 18 holes.    I have my driver set at 10.5* but seem to have my swing speed to low and I can't get the lift on the ball I need.  I have not played this week in hopes I will have the strength to raise my swing speed. I may have to raise my loft to 12* . (I will take my driver wrench) tomorrow. (This Parkinson's is a pain in the butt.)  Will give you a report when I get back.    Retired Old Man, Terry
    • You still got to lift your arms. You basically just roll your wrist over in the 1st half of the backswing.
    • Day 288 6-17 Low point control without ball. hit quite a few swing where i was wanting the club to hit the ground.  Added a ball with towel behind it, just to see where im at. Wasn't horrible but need some more work. Pretty much full speed swings.
    • Current state of the program.  I can only do 25-50% swing speed, probably under 50% since I was hitting the ball out to the 150 yard marker (yay!),  to get the arms down and somewhat turn the body through impact. I mean somewhat. Arms down + body turn don't like to mesh at all. Anything faster and the body does stupid uncoordinated stuff. Mostly, I am stuck in the old pattern of staling the turn and flipping at the ball.  So, until I see progress. I am not posting anything here.
