Pretty windy, way better than the alternative... The last day we were there, the wind stopped. Talk about hot!

You lucky dog! I've always dreamed of going to hawaii, and this month would have been the perfect month to go.

Looks like April, at least the first week, will start to look more like spring.

Way to go!

Where at in Washington are you? I'm in the north sound.

Awesome. I love playing in hawaii, but the wind makes it 10x more difficult than it really is.

btw, which lens and body do you use?

Dude! Thanks for the pics!!!! 4 of them are now in rotation on my Desktop. Last time I was in Hawaii, I was 2 months away from being bitten by the Golf bug - so I've never played there before. My folks have a condo in Kihei and that looks to be right in the vicinity (I can see Molokini in a few shots)... what course is it? And how much?

I did a little research a while back, and it seems as though there is a course I could afford further inland near the airport at Kahalui - but hey, I might splurge for one round of outrageously expensive Golf next time I'm there.

Pentax K100 with the standard lens when I go golfing.

This is the Wailea Golf course. If you go to Maui, there's an inland course called Elleair. While not as scenic, I thought the course design of Elleair was much more compelling. Lots of water and sand hazards where you have choices of laying up and carrying. It's cheaper to boot.

Bring enough money to do both!

Yeah, I'm pretty stoked to go back and play that a few times... hell for $40 bucks, I'd play it every day I was there

Plus, apparently it's the ONLY course on Maui that will allow you to walk. What the heck is up with that?

My wife doesn't want to go back until our 8mos old is 3. I can understand, because then he will be a little person who can participate in the fun rather than a parasite who needs constant attention and care.

I may scheme and try to get myself over there sooner than that though, muwahaha.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
