I'm about as far north as you can get. I'm in Cleveland in a suburb 15 minutes east of downtown. If I pull out of my development and make a right I can see the lake in the distance.

You're in Akron, so I HAVE to ask the question....have you played Firestone? It would be awesome to walk the same fairways that so many great players have walked.

Also, where else do you usually play? I don't know much about the courses down in Akron; maybe you can post some links of nearby courses.

I'm originally from a little South of Massillon, so I know the courses South of here much better. There really are some nice courses in this area and out into Medina. It really depends on how much you want to spend or what kind of round you want to shoot (drinking, drunk, or sober).

I haven't played Firestone, but this summer I think I will be. One of our co-ops here where I work used to do grounds maintenance there and says we could go play sometime. All he has to do is make a call. I couldn't imagine being more nervous in my life than playing Firestone South. Good choice on the 3 wood by the way!

Excellent. Some NE Ohio people. I currently live in the Raleigh area of North Carolina, but was born and raised in Eastlake. I'm extremely new to golf but a couple friends back home golf pretty regularly. We're going to play whenever I go back.

My first time golfing ever was at Fowler's Mill. Too good of a course for a person who at that time couldn't really even hit the ball, but it was fun.

What courses do you guys play in that area?

I'm from the Columbus area but I've spent my fair share in the A-C-Y area.

Lifelong Browns and Indians fan. Played and stayed overnight at Firestone - Akron should be famous for that place alone. Never did stay in the "Quaker Oats Silo Hotel" but it is cool. Everybody should get to go to Canal Fulton. Welcome to the asylum.

Best, Mike Elzey

Go Tribe! Can't say that much about them Clowns though. University of Akron purchased the Quaker from the city recently.
