I got up and was debating to go solo on a back 9 or hit the range..decide the latter.  Lately, as I get started back into playing, TBH I see alot of TikTok swing videos and many of them are really good.  I never understood the importance of the trailing right arm until recently.  Most importantly keeping that right elbow tucked in on the down swing.  Geesus..where have you been?!  It felt so goooood.  I always felt that I never felt really square to the ball at impact, but MAN, when I got that elbow tucked in..the consistency was amazing..and this is what will bring me back into the game.  It was a great day today.

Not to rain on your parade, but…

  • Feel ain't real.
  • What "worked" today probably won't work next week. Feels change over time, too.
  • IMO when people try to "tuck" the trail elbow they leave it stuck and get somewhat un-athletic with it. It often gets trapped by the ribs and can't get back in front properly.

My recommendation: record yourself, post here. Mind your camera angles.

I’m glad that’s working for you. I’ve been back playing golf for 4 years or so and have had 12,349.5 A-Ha moments. I hope yours lasts longer than mine have!

    • Day 21 - Good session with driver and 6i. Hitting real golf balls is quite a bit different from the foam balls, still getting used to that change.
    • There are so many videos comparing and contrasting everything that I am both overwhelmed and more than a bit skeptical. Your comments above are much more valuable than hours of you-tube videos. Generally speaking, I’d much prefer to read something that someone took the time and trouble to write (such as your comments) than a bunch of videos, or worse, meaningless reviews that seem like they are all cut and paste selections of the same script. I’m more of a RTFM type than a watcher of “instructional” videos. By way of explanation, I don’t watch TV either.  So thanks - I’ll take that under advisement. I have an H3 that I bought for $10 that I’ve been carrying around but not sure why. Seems like a cool club, but I just don’t really know what to do with it.
    • I was using the window as a mirror. Just trying to be a more aware of the feels for a better backswing. Trying to not be as closed from A1 to A2. Then not letting the club head flip inside. What I was feeling was a pressure my right wrist, and like the palm of my right hand was pushing upward against the grip of the club. My right hand was the underside of the swing path.  Going to play around with this a bit more. It looked pretty decent with mirror/window work. Just wanted to jot it down.
    • Day 4: 3/26/25 Par4Success workout followed by putting through 50 mm gates.
    • Day 249: did a stack putting session and then worked on 5 foot putts for a bit.
