Hi to all.
I've been remiss in not introducing myself before now - apologies.
Started playing about 5 years ago, joined the local club (Rushmore - rushmoregolfclub.co.uk) when I broke 100 and am now v-c.
I play off 14 (13.5 to be precise) but I'm getting better.
Active in the league teams, love my golf and luckily live within five minutes of the course.
Best result - probably winning the club's Memorial Championship, though the first Monthly Medal win was great!
recent claim to fame - not a very good Stableford round in January was redeemed by the only 2 on the day, so I swept the pot and got more money than the actual winner!
Hurray!
See you on the boards..

welcome, this is a tight course so aim with care

I think I've gathered that, from my recent experience...

Thanks for your good wishes Ruari

Welcome! Checked out your home course and it looks quite scenic (as well as The Rushford Estate).

Welcome! Checked out your home course and it looks quite scenic (as well as The Rushford Estate).

It is - with main highways 30 miles north and about 25 miles to the south, it's a bit of England the modern world has passed by. from the top of the course - 7th, 8th, 12th - you can see about 25-30 miles across 120 degrees of horizon. The wind often blows straight at you on the 7th, making the already longest hole on the course quite a challenge. If you ever come over to teh UK, we'd be delighted to see you.

Thanks for your kind welcome Ruari
