What's the time allowed for your next shot after you've killed someone? I can't find it in the rulebook...

I think it's just a 2 shot penalty, and then the standard rules about slow play still apply.

According to rule 6-7 as long as you are playing without undue delay and inacoordance with any pace of play guidlines that the

Committee may establish there would be no penaty.

Am I right in thinking the body is a temporary movable obstruction, which can be lifted and set down elsewhere? Having done so, should one replace it or leave it out of the way as a courtesy to following players?

I only ask because we had a case where one of the competitors in a designated round had a minor heart attack on the course. There was a bit of an argument about what to do before we concluded (with the help of the Course Marshall) that he was a TMO. We propped him up behind a tree and called the ambulance, with precise GPS references, and got on with our round. I'm happy to say he recovered completely and is back playing. Anyway, does the same apply to a corpse? Except for the complete recovery bit, obviously.

"Sir where is the victim"? "Sky Caddie says he's 152 from the back edge of the left fairway bunker on 15".

I would say that since a corpse isn't attached, it would indeed be a TMO. A purest, however, may elect to play the body as it lies.

Go buy a Chinese lamp at Wally Mart and set it proudly on the table ($12). Then tell them that you probably could have got fitted for a set of Pings for what they paid for the stupid $700 lamp. Good luck on your game, don't let silly stuff like breaking an overpriced illumination device get you in a panic.

I especially like the part about... "an overpriced illumination device"

I have broken a few things via golf and stupidity... 1) window 2) dent in wall 3) picture frame hockey has however caused the most damage... 1) hole in wall 2) lamp 3) 4 windows... yep, 4 4) dent car 5) dent garage door caveat: most of this was none when I was a child / teenager

For a long time I chipped balls with various wedges into one of those really big lounge chairs. One day I skulled that sucker like a bullet clean over the couch...through the front window of the house and out into the yard. I learned the hard way never to do that again because I spent the next three days looking like the town idiot with a bunch of duck tape filling the hole in the window.

Now I either chip into the couches facing the wall or use those little softie balls.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
