I have a bit of a problem here. I have about a 15-30 min bike ride from a course I was going to get a membership at from my house. The price is great and there are barely any restrictions. This is the only course that I can get a membership around here but here is the problem: They don't offer club storage.

So basically, I really can't get a membership there anymore because I cant carry my clubs on my back while biking almost everyday. My parents would be able to give me a ride, but not all the time So i wouldn't be able to go as often as I would like to.

The upside is I get the next stage of my license in september where i can drive alone. So i have to find something to rig up until then.

Maybe im not thinking here, do you guys have any idea on what I can do, to make my trip there on a bike less aggrivating with clubs on my back?

Walk?

Maybe you have a neighbour who would oblige a lift on occasion.

Get a taxi (extreme, I know, but this is golf we're talking about)

Those are pretty crappy ideas, but Its late and I'm drawing blanks on this one. I'll post again if anything springs to mind.

If you are going to walk, why not get a motorized cart? You won't have to carry or push it. It will do all the work.

Here's what you could do. One, ask your parents to spring for the Bag Boy Golf Bag with Clip Lok Technology. It locks the clubs securely in place and there is no club rattle. You can then carry these on your back without worrying that they will fall out.

If that's not a good idea, you can add a fender to your bike. You can then rest your bag, upright and run velcro straps from the bag to your handle bars. Yes, it will look weird but it will be secure. If these ideas stink, I think they might, , find out who plays, daily and get a ride. Give him/her some cash for gas and return the favor once you get your license.

True, but then again it could be really bad on my back, and I would be tired before I even got on the course.

Go to a bike store and get them to mount a rear tie down rack that connects to the frame below your seat and the to the rear wheel mounting nuts. You could then tie down your clubs across the back and ride your bike.

You could also try talking to the pro and the course and explain your situation. There has to be a closet or something where they may let you keep your stix.

Uhm, why not store your clubs at the course? Don't they have that as an option?

get a super light carry bag and only take your odd numbered irons?

aha that would really take the fun out of the game and ruin my scores..

I think i found a way though, one of my friends lives right by the course, So i could probably store my clubs there.

And just because they don't offer "club storage" doesn't mean you shouldn't ask or that they might not be able to do something for you.

How about getting one of those trailers for bikes that people put their kids in. I'm pretty sure you could rig up one of those to carry clubs, although they might cost a fair amount (i really have no idea)

I sent them an email yesterday asking if they could do that, and they said they have no way of doing so. But maybe they dont take teenagers seriously.

Im going to go there tomorrow and ask in person.

    • Day 3: about 20 minutes of putting on the practice green. Focused on putts within 10 feet.
    • I don't have enough details to know what to tell you, man. If they were walking across, to play devil's advocate, maybe just wait another 10 seconds next time.
    • Day 11: Putts with a metronome and worked on some feels for greenside shots.
    • I realize the frame cuts off my tail but wanted to specifically see my hand path and club shaft and head travel from A5 to A7 with the grip and posture work I have been doing . This might be the shallowest I have managed to get the club head to enter into impact. I like the finish much more as well.
    • Context:  I used to play golf very regularly (and when I'm playing regularly, I'm on TST regularly).  In summer 2022, I got my handicap down to a personal-best 11.9.  Unfortunately, in the three years since then, I've had far less time to play, and didn't really make the time to practice.  I've played a bit more the past few months, and I anticipate having a lot more time to practice starting in about two months, at which point I'm hoping to go back to my old practice habits (practicing daily, Evolvr lessons, spending more time on TST (come to think of it, I can do that important last part now)).   But it was thinking about how different my nines have been a few times in the past month or so that made me wonder if there was a thread here about it, and sure enough, there was.  In the past month or so, I've had a 38-46 and a 45-39.
