Hello,

I've been practicing with a Taylor Made Rossa Imola 8 putter at my local golf store:

http://www.taylormadegolf.com/produc...ection=gallery

Finally, after practicing with it for three months, I finally broke down and purchased it.

One thing I would like to do to customize the putter is to have one or two lines cut into, and painted white, near the back of the putter. This would aid in alignment.

Does anyone know if Taylor Made does this kind of customization? if not, does anyone know where I can find this kind of service?

Thank you for your time,

Roy

well I know Cameron does it in their custom shop, but I know they won't touch another brand of putter. If you know anyone who works with metal, it is a pretty simple procedure, but if you knew anyone who works in metal, you wouldn't be asking the question (sorry, I'm slow).

I know Taylormade bought K&M; golf, which customizes putters, but their website is not available yet. Stay tuned for that, as this might be Taylormade's answer to the Scotty Cameron Custom Shop.

Since you already bought the putter, it might be of little use to you, but there are many boutique putter operations that will build the putter from the ground up, with any stamp and alignment aid you can think of. I used C&L; http://www.350milled.com to build mine, but there are many others.

    • Attempting to lift. Any better?
    • Day 82: mirror work again tonight. Working on the same shoulder down and roll and twist stuff. Going on vacation tomorrow and putting the clubs down, so new streak starts in about 10 days!
    • Day 44, June 17.  Today was some preliminary stretching, exploring what I'll want to set up as a regular routine (both while on vacation without clubs and when I'm back) (aside: this is part of an upcoming goal to stretch daily in a meaningful way, but I don't plan to count it as practice on days that I can meaningfully practice with a club)
    • Having a rough week. Went to the Dr. because I was really weak and could hardly swing my driver.  I take Propranolol 20 mg tablets twice a day. Seems like the Propranolol was driving my pulse down (low 50's).  So we cut the dosage in half and I started taking my blood pressure. It was a little high but pulse came up.   Then yesterday I raised it to 15 mg tab by taking it 3 times a day. Blood pressure 127 / 77 Pulse 75.  Heading out tomorrow morning for 18 holes.    I have my driver set at 10.5* but seem to have my swing speed to low and I can't get the lift on the ball I need.  I have not played this week in hopes I will have the strength to raise my swing speed. I may have to raise my loft to 12* . (I will take my driver wrench) tomorrow. (This Parkinson's is a pain in the butt.)  Will give you a report when I get back.    Retired Old Man, Terry
    • You still got to lift your arms. You basically just roll your wrist over in the 1st half of the backswing.
