So, this came to mind because there is a course locally that I've never played well. It's the easiest course on paper of anyplace I've ever played, and I have played it a lot because it's also one of the cheapest. It's not overly tight, only a couple of holes where OB is really an issue. It's also pretty short overall. I have no idea why I just can't seem to score well there. I've tried clubbing down off the tee because I don't really need the length of the driver, but that doesn't really help. This made me curious, is this something other players run into? A course that, for some reason, just always causes issues.

There is a particular course that I always struggle on, but the reasons why are pretty obvious.

This course has OB down the right side of nearly half the holes. On top of that, the place is really hilly (it is called the Hills Course for a reason) and that doesn't go very well with my precarious sense of balance.

Additionally, I never seem to read the greens very well out there. I think there are a lot of putts where I fail to take the first third into account.
