My boy Sam is currently in second place at the Pasadena City Championship. Shot 5 under on course Number 2. He's got the harder Number 1 to deal with tomorrow, but with your support I know he'll do better than last year. He started 4 under after the first day on course 2, only to shoot 3 over the second on 1.

Watch out for this kid, he's only 16!

The fellow you see there Tim Hogarth has been an amateur legend in Southern California for many years. Played in the Masters...

Keep you eye on Bryan Woolf too. He's a member at my club and used to play for U of A.

Honestly, hard work. He was home schooled. Lived with his golf coach for a year and practiced all day everyday. And a GREAT attitude. He says he's doing it all for his dad since he believed in him so much to let him try this. Looks like its working. Colleges are already knocking down his door.

Congrats to your friend; I hope he wins. I wish I could've given up high school to play golf that well. I'd make that trade in a heartbeat!

Ben: What happened to him? Checked the leaderboard today and he is nowhere to be found.

I think he is in 76th place. He shot an 80 2nd round.

He shot 5 over on the second day... Back to even par. I'm just about to check on his round today. Ack, another 3 over today. He's in 17th place.

It has been a toasty 100+ degrees both these last two days, and another 100+'er for tomorrow. I'll give him that as an excuse...
