Cleaning Grips

I have had my clubs for about 8 months now and I have yet to actually "clean" the grips. I have heard that you use warm water, soap, and a towel and lightly rub the grip and then wash and dry. Is there a chance that my grip would come off being very slick and almost slippery from the soap? If anyone has cleaned their grips please tell me what I should expect. Thanks

Try using a soft, damp toothbrush to clean them followed by a quick drying. If that's too difficult, use those wipes that you clean a baby's butt with. They're moist, don't leak and you can dry them, quickly. Unlike a towel with soap and water.
