So I definitely move towards titleist when picking most of my clubs. Driver, 3 Wood, and Wedges, as well an SC putter. However my girlfriend got me a 58* X-Forged Wedge, chrome finish, C-grind, Mack Daddy Grooves. The MD's have quite a bit more bite than the Spin Milled when new, however not as much ripping, maybe because the face isnt milled. Amazing at the grind versitility for a retail club, but even more so with the quality of the forging. Seemed a little bigger than my vokey, but seemed like a much better match for me than the vokeys. More testing the weekend, but so far its a winner. It is notable this had an S300 shaft in it rather than the wedge flex TT's in my vokeys. Anyone considering a vokey should try out the x-forged.

Very nice wedges. I had a chance to hit the line at a callaway demo day a month or so ago.I liked the 58 alot, too, but it would fit with my coverage set up. If I didnt get my vokeys so cheaply I would probably go for a 56/10.

I use 3 X-Forged wedges: 52, 56MD, 62MD . . . these could turn out to be classics, hitting very consistent yardages, so far so good.

I am intending to remove my callaway wedges from my bag as from the rough they sit very flat and thus grip the grass ideal from the fairway but I am a huge fan of bump and run so don,t use them if I can help it .A present I am looking taylor made as they cut through any less than ideal surface

one thing about going the extra mile there,s never a lot of traffic

what,s in the bag

I have both (i use the SM 54.14 for pitch and putt), they're both good. Feel, spin, ability to destroy the ball... all equally good. I like the c-grind option of the x-forged but titleist are offering that as well now...

Pick the wedge that makes you most comfortable at address.

let me add this.

the first 8 shots i hit with both my 52 & 58 x-forged vintages TOTALLY ripped up the balls i was using (and i use some good quality balls hah!)

however, once you get past the ball damage, the results are great. i'm not an awesome sand player yet i have been killing out of the bunkers with these bad boys on my side.

I have two x-forged wedges. The first chip I hit with the 60* hooked me. The vokeys look offset to me for some reason...

    • Day 38 (18 Dec 25) - got out in the backyard with grandson this afternoon.  We got into a little game of pitching the ball from about 25yds to a target point just off the asphalt lane behind the backyard.  Goal - just clear it with a quick hop and stop.  Focused on using the wedge swing motion I was talking with the course pro yesterday….smooth and thru just bruising the grass.  In addition to a concentrated focus on technique, it also called for a quiet mind locked in on target point.  Rehearsed this with both the 50° and 55° wedges.
    • I listened to the Shaun Webb one about the swing coach app. Sounds like a great thing and will (hopefully) be very useful for me. I do think the hosts are underestimating where AI could be in a few years. Right now it's just regurgitating stuff that it has been told or it has scrubbed from somewhere else and a human guiding things will be quite a lot more helpful than just the AI, but it's going to keep developing and it will reach the stage where it's figuring this stuff out on its own. Time will come when it will have you do a TPI style screen and take various height/arm length/leg length etc. measurements, have you tell it some history and your time constraints and goals and what not and it will watch a video of your swing face on and DTL and it will know exactly what you need to work on.
    • I found it entertaining, but the announcing was lousy.  How did the measuring on the final shot start with Rory being closer and being told he won, and then with no explanation it turns out Scottie won?  Weird.
    • Day 128 12-18 Worked on rotation and getting to lead side. Still working on the flow feeling while doing that. Recorded swings.
    • IMO-the only thing entertaining was the relay race. Everything else was excruciatingly boring...or just  stupid, like the 14-club thing. Watching guys blade wedges into the water over and over is not at all interesting.
