What's your experience with X-20 to help out one of my golf buddy (25-30 handicap). Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I am currently using X-20 tour and I like a lot. X-20 seems similar characteristics other than more forgiving with more offset, and thought it would be very good game improvement irons.

To be custom fitted, but any 2 cent for shaft (steel, graphite, stiffness) would be appreciated too, although this is not a straight forward answer.

Thanks!

I play with the X-18, but have an X-20 A Wedge. I don't think there is much difference between the two models.

They are great game improvement irons. Lots of forgiveness, but they aren't too bulky and still have some control. I really like the mid and long irons, but I think I lose something with the low irons in terms of control and feel.

I think the X-20 is the nicest of the irons in their category and I've hit hundreds of balls with all them. Now that being said there are two things I dislike about them.

1) They scuff up pretty easily.. not that big of a deal though because they still swing well
2) I don't like the stock shaft at all

Are low irons (8, 9, pw?) in uniflex, graphite, or custom shaft?

I think this is interesting....do you probably suggest to replace low irons with, say X-20 tours in steel shaft probably?

uniflex shaft.

I actually like the 8 iron. It is the 9I and the PW that I wish I had a bit more control. I might buy an X Forged 9 and PW and just use those, solving that problem. and by control, I mean that I hit them well, but hits that feel good tend to spray a bit (as even mishits feel good). The difference in accuracy between my 52 wedge and my PW is significant, a lot more than it should be from just one club down.

But for a beginner I think they would be fantastic clubs. and the stock shaft is probably fine.
