What a difference the correct fit makes!

Until this year I thought it was a bunch of bunk... then I got fit for my irons. A stiff shaft and 2* flat took me from an inconsistent spray of shots to crushing the ball with a nice little baby draw.

When I was fit for my irons the pro made some suggestions for a driver shaft as well and I took the plunge on that... went from a hi-bore / the stock fujikura r to the same head with a NV 65-s. First round with it yesterday and I gained around 15-20 yards on my drives (as measured by google earth)... easier to control too.

I still have to make the right swing, but having the correct equipment makes that task so much easier.

I don't mean to steal your thread, but can you get irons that you already own fitted. For example can I get the lie angle adjusted on my r7 xds, and what else is included in fitting?

Yes, you can get fitted for irons you already own. The one thing that you need to think about is shaft flex. As long as that's consistent, you only have to think about lie, loft and swingweight.

Depending on the type of fitting you get, it can be free or cost you up to $200.

Getting fitted is huge in helping your game. Besides having the right fit for your swing, the confidence you gain knowing that you have the right tool in your hand before the shot really helps.

Anyone serious about improving their golf score needs to be fitted. I also recommend getting a couple of lessons before getting fitted to make sure your swing is proper before getting fitted. If your swing changes, it could change the fit. Fix the swing, get fitted, and enjoy lower scores!!!

I'm looking to get some 755's and want to know what lie I need and such, but i'm not interested in buying from the store, I'm looking to buy off ebay but Can i get fitted at the store and not buy anything or will they expect me to buy the clubs?

I totally agree that fitting makes a huge difference. I just got fitted and got my new 695cb irons and my game has gotten soo much better. I went from hitting a 130-140 pw i now hit a 150-160 pw. Ive also gotten a lot more accurate and my scores are dropping fast.

Also Dent I got fitted in Golfers Warehouse and bought my clubs on eBay. I dont think that they will have the 755's in stock because the new lines of titleist irons are out. So check to see if they have those in stock before you get fitted at the store. Also i will reccomend the 695cb's to you because i have them and love them.

There are 695 Cavitys and 695 Blades as well right?

Yeah they come in the mb version which are the muscle back blades and the cb version, which i have, and have a slight cavity. THe cb's are much more forgiving than the mbs and they still fell amazing when you pure them. Highly recomended.

Hey I also just got fitted as well for MP-57's and let me tell you the difference is just WOW. I went to a demo day at a driving range right from the get go they gave me an mp-57 with an extra half inch shaft since im 6'2". I pured it every time! Then they put me on a lie board, and saw it was lying too flat so they bent it 2 degrees upward and I hit it even better! Also Dent to answer your question... I got fitted at a course a few towns away and I bought them at a club fitter in my town because he gave me a great deal.
