1) Best Course - Hard to name one, but off the top of my head I'll say Turnberry Ailsa although I'll think of a different one as soon as I post this
worst course - Every day on a golf course has some redeeming quality. Can't think of a "worst".
2)hardest course - The Country Club (Brookline Mass)
easiest course - City Park (Denver, CO)
3) overrated course Spanish Bay (Monterey CA)
underrated course - New Zealand (Addlestone England) or Western Gailes (Irvine, Scotland)
4) fastest greens - Leopard's Chase Calabash, NC or the Broadmoor (Colorado Springs)
slowest greens - Wild Horse (Henderson, NV) They were new greens at the time and couldn't be cut very low, I'm sure they are faster now
5) Longest rough The Country Club (Brookline MA)
(shortest rough)
6) Longest round Rockland Lake (Congers NY) 6 hrs
shortest round - My home course, Otterkill GC (Campbell Hall NY) 2.5 hrs numerous times
7) best conditioned - Golden Horseshoe (Williamsburg VA), Paiute (Las vegas) or Tigers Eye (Calabash, NC)
/ worst conditioned - Loch Ledge (Yorktown Hts, NY) No longer exists

    • Day 51 (yesterday was 50, not 59 -- that was a typo).  I didn't have a ton of time today.  I hit a dozen balls with a 6-iron in my practice room.   Amazingly, after this I did the ShotScope analysis of yesterday's round;  my approach play was at the 5 hcp level.  That's pretty darn good, but unfortunately for my score, some of that came from hitting a few good recovery shots.  But I also hit some really good approach shots that weren't from trouble!

    • Day 295 6-26 Low point control with towel again. Getting better but not swinging fast enough tonight.
    • Shot a 37 today! Palmer Course, PGA National. Really fun. 6/9 GIR, no lost balls. The double and the bogey were both three putts from like 35 feet or so.  The birdie at the last was really fun. I stood over that fifteen footer and thought wow I’m really about to make this, aren’t I? And I hearted it. Really fun. It’s like 9000 degrees outside but I battled through it well. Good times.
    • I had been in a bit of a slump for the month of June. Handicap index has slowly risen, and there were few sub-80 scores. Today was a different story at Leslie Park GC. Lots of solid shots, GIR's, up & downs, for a 77 (7.8 differential). As with most rounds, there were a few loose shots and crappy putts, but it was a good day.
