ok wow you might think but im over the moon. Started playing this game with my girlfriend April 07. Never picked a club up in my life before. In fairness I haven't played as much as I would like because I need a regular golf buddy. The golf bug has got my more than my girlfriend so I dont play as much as I want. We didn't play at all in the Winter last year in the UK cos it was absolutely dreadful, heavy rain for months.

Anyway to cut a long story short we started to play again around March and I've just come back from Florida. I shot 96 at Southern Dunes in Orlando. Think the yardage was just under 6000. My lowest score back home was 108. To be honest I never realised I was on for a sub 100 round because I never count the score until I've finished.

I've been determined to break 100 for a while and could feel my game was ready for it. I feel so much confident now. It feels like my swing is coming together and its happening much more naturally. I can concentrate more on enjoying the game and playing the course rather than all the technical stuff.

Hey i just broke 100 the other day. It was a 98. I've been playing since about May '08. I'm getting better really fast. I started shooting 60's at a really hard course around here. I think im progressing quite well and think i will be able to get low 90's by the end of July!

Congrats though, it feels great!

Same, I just took up golf this year and one of my goals of 2008 is to break an honest 100 (no mulligans or provisionals). Going to be tough to do with only a few months to go.

      First going to spain for a long weekend in March probably going to play La Quinta, Los Arqueros and Fina Cortesin, and first week in May will compete in the Crawsnest Tassie at Carnoustie golf links, that will be a full week of golf golf golf and more golf. Did play it last year for the first time and it is awesome.

      Day 47: simulator day! Played St. Andrew’s and shot a +1. Not bad, especially with having to putt at this simulator set up. Had about 5 minutes at the end to work on some feels as well.

      I think you're saying it's preposterous to think that the areas on this club are anything like what's shown here: 30mm toward the toe or heel loses only 5% distance? Highly, highly doubtful. So a guy who hits the ball there and normally hits the ball about 250… will hit it instead about 238. By missing the sweet spot by about 1.2 inches? Highly, highly doubtful. Heck, the high heel barely gets into the red, and orange is only "up to" 10%! @M2R, I've never heard of "Ask Golf Nut" but I'm dubious of his claims in the video and really, really dubious of what's on his site: "Why AskGolfNut Is the Most Trusted Data-Driven Golf Resource". Hmmmmmm.
