I am looking to buy a new Ping G10 3 wood and I was just wondering what the diffrences are between the TFC 129 and the V2 High Launch and the Pro launch Red . I used a shift shaft so which one should I get?

i usually hit my driver a little higher than i like. so to lower it a little i ordered one with the prolaunch red which is supposed to have a slightly lower launch. i believe the v2 has a higher launch. the tfc129 has a higher torque rating than the other two.

i'd get fitted for one if you are not sure.

I just bought a G10 with the TFC shaft and the launch has been great. I was skying them with my HiBore (Alida NVS green shaft). I've only played one round with it but my drives had a much better trajectory with this combo.

As was mentioned earlier, best bet is to get fitted.
What's in the bag:

G10 9 degree, TFC 129 shaft, stiff
Big Bertha 3 Wood
FTX 2i, Apex Plus 3i-E MP-R 52/07 and 56/13 Zing

The prolaunch Red has a lower launch, and seems to come up stiffer than the V2. The V2 has a very high launch.

I ended up with a 9 degree head with stiff V2 shaft. If I'd gone for the prolaunch I'd probably have gone regular, and maybe even gone for the 10.5 degree head.

But like the guy before said, don't guess, get fitted. It doesn't matter whether your shaft is high or low launch, womens or tour X flex, or whether your head is 7.5 or 13 degrees. What matters is where the ball is after you have swung your club.

    • Have posted in a while or practiced for that matter. Dealing with a few medical issues. But I was able to practice and film today. I’ve played 5 times this year. Misses have been pulls or heavy shots. I feel this has a lot to do with my lower back issues. When I feel good, I get good rotation and I hit the ball well. Today I felt good. Hips and lower back felt nice and flexible. I worked mainly on the hands feeling from the top. The club head should feel like it’s going down and away from the ball and target at the start of the downswing. The right knee should stay a little flexed at the top. These are the only swing thoughts other than high hands (arms going up) I’ve been focused on. I did PW, 6 iron and Driver today. Here is PW. The hands look better as does the knee in the rehearsal. The knee gets more straight in the actual swing.   My left arm is not straight at impact, which it has never really been. But that’s not the focus of this practice.   6 iron looks better than last time. Driver also looks better than last time. Playing tomorrow. Hopefully my body will cooperate.

    • The way to practice this is not at full speed, even if you do manage to "change" something. But no, not quite like that. That's a late lift, but you still have the early roll, and you stand up too much in that swing (likely in trying to "lift" — the "lift" is relative to your torso, not the ground).
