I'm looking to go from regular to stiff shafts in my driver, 3 wood, and hybrid. I'm looking to spend under 200 dollars for the 3 of them. I know very little about shafts or shaft technology, so I have a number of questions. First, should I use the same shafts in all three clubs? Second, I could use a little help choosing the shafts. In the driver I want something that is 60-65g, mid launch and low-mid spin. In the 3 wood I want a shaft that is 75-80g, mid-high launch and mid spin. In the hybrid I want 85-90g, mid launch, and high spin. I have hit both the graffaloy prolaunch blue hybrid and aldila vs proto and liked them both, but the vs proto is way out of my price range, but are there any other shafts similar to that for much cheaper? Hitting a bunch of different shafts is impractical for me, so that's not an option. Thanks in advance.

On a side note, I have a Graphite Design YS-6+ FW in my 3 wood. Their website only has the weight of the driver shaft (65g), so what does anyone know what the FW version weighs?

Get yourself to a dealer who has a launch monitor and the new quick shaft fitting system.

You'll have to see your numbers and see what works best for you. As for the 200 dollars you'd like to spend, you're going to have a really tough time with that number especially considering installation cost as well as new grips.

Shaft questions are always really difficult to answer because there are SO many shafts out there that its really hard to recommend anything without seeing someones specs and actual swing/tempo.

Just dont be afraid to try different shafts... may be harder to find in stores but there are smaller companies that make great shafts. Not everyone can afford a proto by you but you can find shafts on sale or go with smaller companies, such as Harrison or Penley
