hey everyone,

I'm taking a trip that will lead into St George, Utah and am bringing the sticks.

Right now I've got a tee time for the Entrada at Snow Canyon ( http://www.golfentrada.com/ ) but am curious if anyone knows how it stacks up against The Ledges ( http://www.ledges.com/ ) or Coral Canyon ( http://www.coralcanyongolf.com/ ).

I know TL Golf just did a write up about a year ago on St George, but if anyone has any opinions it would be good to hear them as well.

FWIW, I won't be heading out to Mesquite NV to play Wolf Creek, and have only one round in St George before heading south to Arizona...

nice, thanks for the heads up sabram, and especially the photos.

unfortunately i'm heading southwest from st. george to get to scottsdale, and i've yet to play golf in utah, so that's why i'll save wolf creek for next time i'm in vegas.

I played Coral Canyon a few years ago. It was really nice. The course is a nice desert course. I don't usually play courses nearly that nice but clubhouse staff was very helpful. The experiance was very enjoyable for me. The course itself was nice as I said, but no real wow holes. I don't know much about the Ledges other then the commercials I see on TV, but I would say you won't go wrong with Coral Canyon if you go there.

If you are going through the "guts" of Utah, you may want to stop a few hours before St. George and check out Thanksgiving Point (I know I have mentioned it before). I bet it will be cooler than St. George or Arizona this time of year, and the course is worth the stop (in my biased opinion).

    • Day 242 4-19 correct hip/chest movement in backswing. Less hip turn more chest turn. Did a bit of wrist arch stuff as well.
    • Day 42 (19 Apr 26) - Spent a bit of time working on maxing torso rotation…hit a few pitches to help reinforce.
    • Thanks - that was a total surprise…

    • First round at Quail Ridge: 47 + 47 = 94 *Note: It was 25+ mph winds with gust in the 35+ mph. It was also around 58 degrees. I felt like I was out in Oregon. The greens were very firm.  Driver was decent. It didn't cause me an issues.  Irons were the biggest issue. Just low point control was lacking. Mostly on the chunky side. Also, my irons were routinely 20-30 yards shorter than normal. Even on holes with a cross wind, the ball was just dying. We played an extra 9 holes after the first 18, and the wind died down by then. I stepped into a 9 iron, and it came up 15 yards short. I have no clue what is going on. I should not be hitting 9 irons 140 yards when I am hitting my driver 300 to 310 yards.  Warmup didn't give me much confidence. I just kept shanking every other iron shot. I didn't shank an iron during the round. I just felt all out of sorts today. Coordinate felt off.  yea, I have no idea if I am purposely slowing down my swing to feel my downswing piece. Again, I hit a decent 9 iron and lost 15 yards of carry. I hope this is just an off day.
