I wouldn't switch over to Nike unless they're unbelievable..but I was just speaking to Jim from theironfactory since they'll be refinishing my clubs. he was telling me about Tiger's new clubs that he was working on before the open.

Copying is becoming a habit for them.

I don't think it's gonna be the same with MP-32. Mizuno Cut Muscle is a trade mark (patented technology?).

Attached are a pic of his irons. These are the ones that are scheduled to be released this fall.

To he*l w/ some of your assessments that this new Nike line is basically a Mizuno in a Nike logo or Nike is copying them or whatever nonesense you doubters want to spew. Could it be that Nike really is right there w/ all other golf manufacturers? Just in the past couple years Nike has come a long way. To the point where they are "right there" w/ the "more pure" golf companies. I just think that some are scared and naive to acknowledge that and the others just refuse to believe that Nike can ever really be serious into this golfing thing.

Well, they are.

People will start to turn to Nike, even more than they are now.

Their drivers didnt seem to copy anything. In fact it seems as though many companies are copying them.

I will also add that Nike has added the apeal to the younger crowd which was not really being to addressed by the big boys (Callaway, Taylor Made, Titleist..etc) Nike in some kids eyes made it cool to play golf! And I can admit to me being one of them. As a young kid I can remember all my uncles coming home to Fayetteville, NC and they would be gone for 2 to 3 days just playing the No 2 over at Pinehurst. And I always thought what a old mans game. But Nike kind of threw golf in your face. Now I kno there will be others who say differently but that is my personal take on it. And from playing old Nike stixs to todays Nike stixs there is a HUGE improvment. Nike forced there way in with Tiger and shotty equipment, but they will stay in with there advancments today!

to all the people saying the Tigers blades look like Mizuno's, of course they do. With a chrome blade, there's not going to be a huge difference. It is a simple blade. I could go out and find 10 different pure blades from 10 different companies and you couldnt' pick out which one is which.

and tiger is completely involved in how his clubs are shaped, hes the one telling the people who forge and grind his clubs, how to do it.

You don't think you are being the least bit bias do you? I really believe the main reason that Nike sells so well is that the company is able to throw money at people. They sell to the high-handicap public. You can see when Tiger first went to Nike, his clubs look almost exactly like the Titleist's he just switched from.

I will say that they are catching up. But, as far as clubmaking I don't think they will find there way out of their niche of making clubs for the high-handicapper, which is great.

This is exactly what Nike has done for Golf. I will say that Nike (with the help of a certain player) made golf popular. Nike has pushed the limits as far as apparel for golf. New materials for shirts and hats, no company can keep up.

Also, as far as thinking outside the box, Nike as a couple of things they others didn't think of. I remember they were the first company to popularize a combo set. And they were the first company to popularize square-headed drivers. The ideas are there, but the clubmaking is not.

I agree about Nike appealing to the young crowd. But I think more than anything the fact they were so big before Tiger, and then once Tiger, well, turned into Tiger, people just want to have Nike clubs because it reminds them of Tiger and some people honestly think they are the best clubs out there just because Tiger plays them.

I personally don't really like anything Nike. The only thing I ever hit well that was Nike was the SV Tour wedge, and one of their putters had a real nice feel to it. Other than that, I can't stand the look of their clubs, the feel, how the sound, or anything...but to people who enjoy playing with their clubs, power to you.

I just think people still will always be against Nike, never give them a chance, call them ugly, say they just throw money at people to get them to use their equipment, etc etc...... But, for the person looking to get a new set or upgrade clubs, and for someone not biased against any companies, should really give Nike their due chance. If you don't like them, you don't like them. And I along w/ probably every other Nike equipment user wouldn't fault you at all for that.

I wasn't talking about the irons. I was talking about the driver. I find the Sumo2 to be an ugly face at address. I've never hit their irons I don't think. I did like the SV wedge as I stated before.

I am a really big nike fan, and i'll have it to admit it's because of tiger. He's been my golf idol forever, and i learned he played nike clubs, so i gave them a try. i ended up loving them, and still do today.

the square driver is a great club, but it is the noise that drove me away. i cant stand it. the pga guy at our golf galaxy is 6'6", and hits his 5 wood 270.(i cant believe it either, but ive watched him hit. hes big.) He couldnt get the square driver over 280. but hey, its still a great club for everyone who isnt a giant beast. i hit it better than my SQ(generation 1), but im so attached to it i wont stop hitting it.

I have thre 3 wood from this year and it sounds normal. Now my Cobra driver on the other hand sounds like broken glass.

I'm not a Nike fan in golf, but I must admit I'm pretty curious to see these clubs as well...
