I have the G10 irons which I like a lot. However, I hit a high ball to begin with and so I hit these way too high. I understand the head is designed to launch high. Would going to a Dynamic Gold produce a lower trajectory? Is it worth the effort?

Is the Dynamic Gold compatible with the G10 head? I've never heard or seen anyone with DG's in their G10's or i10's for that matter.

Is there any other shaft out there that I should be considering? Project X's launch higher than DG's right? Black Gold launches higher too I believe.

What about Rifles?

Thanks for your time.

I have the i10's with the DG S-400s, ball flight is low.

I heard great things from the AWT, wish I had those to be honest with you. You can always reshaft them to DG or Project, many people have this done.

Go to golfsmith or somewhere like that and have them look at your swing speed and see if they suggest stiff shafts or just regular. Re-shafting can help a lot.

Want my AWT's? I'll swap them for the S400's.

I would consider that, how would we exchange them?

Also, what stiffness are they now and length?

I have black dot.

Reg flex standard length w/ Oem standard "White" Ping grips. I have only had these clubs for a short time, bought new in June. So the grips are still in great shape. Shafts still look new with the little white "AWT" stickers on them. I can send you some pics if you need them.

Are the S400's standard length? I assume they are with them being Black Dot. If they are longer, no big deal, I can trim them if needed.

I have a good friend from down here in Louisiana who lives in Elmhurst now. I could ship him my shafts and ya'll could meet up and swap them. Or I could just ship them direct to you and you do the same to me.

This could work out good for both of us. Just give me the word plus your address and I'll pull them out and send them off. Can have them to Fed EX/UPS in the morning.

Do you know how to pull shafts? I don't know your experience, so excuse me if you know how to do it. If not, I can talk you through it on the phone. No ferrules to deal with either. Piece of cake.

If I went with the AWT I am looking for Stiff shafts, regular has a little to much whip for me. I will sitll consider it, but after playing yesterday I was really happy with my irons, give me a few more rounds to see if I want to switch out.

Ok, no sweat. I was waiting to see what you wanted to do. I'm going to go ahead an order some shafts for me. I want to get these reshafted asap. Good luck.

Switching shafts will change the swingweight, just know that in advance. A graphite shafted club is swingweighted for those shafts. TTDynamic Golds are one of the heaviest shafts on the market. For each 9 grams of shaft weight increase you will increase the swingweight 1 point. Most people aren't phased by a swingweight or two, but more than that can bring in problems. Maybe you might consider the dynamic gold SLs? I would strongly consider going to a pro club builder for this. And not just someone who can switch the shafts, but someone who can re-swingweight them and put you in the best weight and bend profile shaft. Just some advice to help you keep the value of your club investment $s. Good Luck.

Thanks, I'm on top of it. At the same length, the DG's should SW to D3.7. Which is good, b/c I wanted them to be at D2 anyway.

LOL sorry I didn't remember your screen name from the other thread. I hate to be redundant.

It's been a few years back but I had a set of DCIs with the DG shafts that I hit too high.

I went to the irons I'm playing now and the ball flight is much lower and more penetrating. It's usually very predictable as far as trajectory goes. I quickly fell in love with the Rifle stepless shafts.

Would hard stepping a Rifle 6.0 produce a flex close to the S300? 6.0 is a little bit to stiff for me I believe.

Or would that be soft stepping? I always confuse the two.

Yes, it would be soft stepping that makes the shaft softer.

If he sends them to PING WRX they will put the new shafts in and also make sure the swing weight is the same.
