Hello,

I'm new to the game, and enjoying it a lot. I decided to post here mostly because I am looking for some new folks in the area to play with. Warning: I am a beginner, though I am getting better rapidly. I've played probably 5-8 games, and have had about 8 group lessons. I don't keep track of my score, because it is too depressing.

If anyone wants a game in the area, let me know.

Hello,

Welcome aboard. I'm not in Texas, but I think a few others are.

Welcome. I'm new too and trying 2 get the hang of it. Slowly, but surely. :)

Great spirits will always encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds.

Welcome! I'm relatively new to the game as well (spring '04). Hopelessly addicted now as well. I'm not really in the Austin area much, but if your in the Houston area, I'd be up for a round.

Hi,
I am from Canada and will go to Austin in January for 8 days. I plan to play there every day (if weather permits) and need to know what are the bests public courses in Austin, within 40 min from downtown Austin. My handicap index is 9.6 and I prefer fast golf (really don't like rounds of 4h30). Somebody can help?
