Have a Tommy Armor Iron Master Putter that I've been putterring around with lately in practice and dropping everything in sight. The leather grip (I believe original) is very dry and starting to fall apart. Contemplating to regrip the blade. This putter is a 40-50+ year old classic.

any thoughts?

If you plan on playing with it then definately re-grip. In reality it is probably worthless so regrip regardless.

Get a grip as close to the same weight and shape as possible. Otherwise you could tweak the swingweight or your stroke, and thus your mojo.

The Antique Road show part of me says have it appraised for value before touching the putter.

Thanks for the input guys.
I'll see if it has any value before I do anything. Maybe I should leave well enough alone as mentioned by a couple of you so as not to altar what's been working.
