I know this may be far-fetched, but as a golf fan in Texas, I believe a Men's Major (U.S. Open or PGA) is long overdue to be hosted in Texas. I know the rotation is set until 2015, but for the next set, Texas deserves a mention. If the pro's can sweat it out in Tulsa, why not Texas??? Think about this stat...Tulsa has held 2 majors since 2000, while the great state of Texas has hosted 0 since 1970. For the state that has produced such legends as Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson to go almost 50 years without hosting a major is a travesty. Do you guys agree?

Yes. Hook 'em. What courses? What city? I'd like to see it in Austin, the state capital, but don't think any of the courses in Austin are "up to par" for a major, so to speak. That leaves Houston, Dallas, or perhaps San Antonio. I think my personal second choice would be San Antonio, but I don't know anything about the golf venues there to know whether there are any clubs that could support such an event.
