Anybody else using these irons? Just curious about your thoughts on them.

I just picked up a set of Nickent 3DX RC Hybrid/Iron set from my somewhat local Austads today. 3h, 4h, and 5-PW. I had never heard of these clubs until today. I had my eye on the Adam's Idea A3 Hybrid/Iron set but just didn't like them or the other sets I tried as much as the Nickent's and these were cheaper anyways. Since I'd never heard of them before I didn't know the going price on them, it seems I paid quite a bit compared to what they go for online(I paid $400). I'll go test some drivers and fairway woods next week to see what I like and buy them used online since they took so much of my money. hahaha

On the plus side the guy servicing me was very helpful and even gave me a few swing pointers. He took my measurements and said I didn't need clubs that were longer(which surprised me since I'm 6' 2"), he said I could maybe use something 1* upright but if I wanted them changed they'd do it for free whenever I want. I love the hybrid 3 and 4, the ball just seems to fly off the clubface, easy club to hit, long irons are intimidating to a high handicapper like myself. I especially like how the head on the mid irons are larger as well and then progressively get smaller on the scoring irons. Can't wait to try them out tomorrow.

I actually just ordered a set of nickent 4DX CB combo set. I only paid 400 for those + the 4dx driver. Nickent is doing pretty good on the nationwide tour.

I'll let you know tommorrow when i hit them.

I am looking into that set more, because I cant seem to find the regular 3DX set with a steel shaft anywhere. I definitely want to hit them, but with no Nickent dealer close (there is supposed to be one 30 miles away, but the Pro said he doesnt keep any clubs on site to demo....wtf) I have only hit the regular 3DX set. PM me after you have hit them a couple weeks and let me know how they worked out for ya.

They still have more steel sets at Austad's in Sioux Falls, SD I think. Or do you want the hybrid's with steel shaft too?

Here's a link to them for people that haven't seen them.

I see on their website that you can get a free putter with the purchase of a 3DX RC set. I'll have to call Austad's about that tomorrow.
