Golf coverage

Does anyone else usually find it annoying how they only follow a certain number of players around for the round?

I get that guys near the top usually get a lot of coverage, but I'd like to see them show more players instead of, for example today on the Golf Channel all they've been showing is Retief Goosen, Vijay, Sergio, Padraig, Justin Leonard, etc. They haven't even shown my guy Rocco at all yet I don't think.

I guess what I'm trying to say is I wish they'd diversify their coverage more instead of following certain guys around the whole round. I can understand that on Sunday you want to follow the leaders, but on Thursday and Friday at least, show more of the field.

Yes I agree. It gets crazy old seeing the same 2 or 3 guys all the time. I have not seen my man Stricker hardly at all this year. Also enough with the commercials already. I was watching the prime time last night and they came back from a commercial literally showed one shot then back to commercial. I stopped watching.

Well you also have to take into account that not all players get to tee off during prime-time coverage. I would be very surprised that they don't show Rocco though. He's a ratings booster ever since the US Open.

TGC usually does a good job of mixing up who they cover.

Yeah, I was excited for the coverage today because Rocco teed up at 12:59 EST I believe and their coverage started at 2 EST, yet, they've only shown about one shot of Rocco so far in two hours of coverage. He's played 12 holes according to the live scoring on PGA's website and I haven't seen them cover a hole of him, just one putt I think. Granted he's 6 shots back, you'd still think they'd show him.

Oh, man!

I get annoyed at Sky Sports' coverage and all the breaks for commercials but we clearly saw a lot more of Stricker than you did. He was followed for several holes as he was movin' up.

Haven't all players teed off before the start of prime time coverage? I always assumed that it was previously recorded - which basically goes to help the OP's point that they need fewer commercials and more diversity in coverage.

      Day 101: did a stack session. Worked on hands down in the mirror during breaks.

      Got told off yesterday for doing full swings and full speed swings so went to the range this lunchtime and did some slow speed stuff and freezers. A few videos from my session.    First few are DTL then some FO This one is of me looking at the club on the way back. I think I get my arms lifting all the way back, not that you’d know because YouTube keeps glitching on me.    Second one is two slow backswings. This glitches the first one but the glitch looks like a pretty good position so I’ll live. Second one works. Then another swing back and hit. When I’m not watching or really focusing on it it seems that my upper arm doesn’t lift at first, rather stays roughly where it is and I add the lift at the end so the club comes a bit more inside. I think that’s what I’m going to focus on. This one glitches a bit too but it’s really just pausing. This shows the club coming a bit more inside but not as laid off at the top Then a couple of face on ones And lastly one smoothie and one freezer at normal speed  Quite happy with how this went. I can see my arms are better when I take it slower. Also while I’m still pitching my arms out it doesn’t seem to be as extreme as yesterday. Light at the end of the tunnel 🙂
