the 64* club is not a club for most, you will see the love / hate relationship posted anywhere you ask about it.

I used one last year, but after upgrading my knockoff wedges to CG14's I was very disappointed how I could full swing my 54 from 115 and 60 from 100 yds and back them up a good bit with the right ball and strike on the club. I wanted a 64* lefty but they are not an easy find and I was not receiving anywhere near the spin from my crappy 64, so I upgraded to a Callaway 64* X forged vintage.

As a recreational golfer looking to challenge myself to hit a club like this, it took work and patience. I enjoy hitting the club, it makes the game fun for me.

It is my favorite club to hit and I worked with it enough to make it a super shot maker from inside 80 yds.

Not a needed club at all, more of a sexy club to carry and use... and I sure hit it a lot and have had great results with it after a good bit of practice.

"Wow, how did you do that? What did you hit from there? What a freaking shot! Nice!"

Yep, was either a 54, 60 or 64... mostly the 64.

Some will love it, most will not.

Okay, been a few rounds and the 64 is great for me. Like some of the other posts, others are surprised by my new flop shot skill...and I get mixed looks when I explain it was just a chip with my 64.

It's definitely not for everybody but it is staying in my bag.

    • I didn't know until this past week that Rose holds the record for the most times having the lead after day one of The Masters.  He must really love those Day 1 pin placements.
    • I think Rose is great. Much respect to his consistency, professionalism, work off-course and a never give-up attitude. But I have mixed feelings about his Masters campaign. Afterall, the dude came within a putt of ruining the perfect ending to probably the greatest unfinished story in golf. 😱

    • Justin Rose = Adam Scott to me. Their careers and achievements have been incredibly similar. I've always respected Justin, as he's not been content to fade into obscurity or just make a few million a year hanging on to and playing off past achievements.
