The Red X is heel-shafted. The Red X2 is the center-shafted version.

I love it. I reviewed it if you look for it. It's the putter I use. It's my gamer.

Here are the usga guidelines for the length of holes.

Looks like agusta is going to push the limits on the par 3 lenght.

"The USGA has periodically issued guidlines for the par-ratings of holes based on their lengths; i.e., if a hole is 200 yards, it is a par-3.

Those guidelines have changed over the years, and the way they are used has changed, too.

The current guidelines are these for men:

Par 3 - Up to 250 yards
Par 4 - 251 to 470 yards
Par 5 - 471 yards to 690 yards
Par 6 - 691 yards or more

And for women:

Par 3 - Up to 210 yards
Par 4 - 211 to 400 yards
Par 5 - 401 to 575 yards
Par 6 - 575 yards or more"

Yep you read that right. Played a course here in ohio this summer with a par 6. Here is a link with some pics of the hole.

what club do you use on your second shot? driver again?

If you can hit your driver off the deck then sure. I'm pretty sure I hit driver, 3wood, 6 iron. Pulled the 6 iron left of the green chipped on and 2 putted for par.

I dont know about the rest of you but any par 3 over 200 yards, I'm definitely happy with getting a par.

kklick, those guidelines cant be right cuz at Bethpage Black, one of the par 4s, on the back, measures 499. oh wait, i suppose that's measuring from the tour tee.

Oakland Hills is lengthing the 17th Hole, which is already a brutal uphill 210yd hole to 230+ yards. Along with the other course renovations, it should make the '08 PGA very interesting to watch.
