Question on fitting

I have a new putter and driver. I bought both at Golf Galaxy and did not get fitted for either. I'm pretty sure I can bring them back with receipts and have them adjusted but what can be done with the driver? Is it just a reduction of length?
I am in the process of taking lessons. We have not done any putting yet. Should I wait until I get my stroke down before I bring it in for adjustment?

I can't really answer your question, but do you know if Golf Galaxy charges for a fitting if you don't buy from them?

You don't have to wait until you get your stroke down to get fitted. If anything, getting fitted WILL help you cut off some strokes. It'll be the best money you've ever spent, I guarantee it.

I'm pretty sure most places charge if you don't buy clubs from them.

IMHO You should get fitted before hitting them. Why, because you can change the length longer or shorter, and also you can change the size of the grips, the flexibility of the shaft. Believe me the flexibility of the shaft in the driver can help you to prevent a huge slice.

The length can be adjusted, the loft, the lie and the flex. Generally, anything you can do to an iron can be done to a driver. You should find a reputable fitter to do this for you. Someone with limited experience can cause some damage.
