Traded my Irons, was it a good deal??

I was playing a Ping I3 oversize 3-pw with Ping stiff shafts set that I got from a friend. Today I traded them plus $600 for a new set of Ap2´s with project x 5.5 shafts .
On top of that I gave a set of Callaways x-16, which belonged to my father but he never used, and $200 for a used set of Mizuno Mp-60 with x-100 shafts in very good shape.

What do you think, was it ok?? Did I got robbed???

I'd say that you spent too much money for those AP2's. Although, they are amazing clubs. I'd say that you got the better of the deal with the MP-60s.

I agree. Too much $$ for the AP2's, but you got the better end of the MP-60s.

If you dont like the ap2's let me know. I want a set. Have a set of ap1's and they are just not for me.

It's hard to judge without knowing what kind of shape your trade-ins were in. Without seeing them I would say that you overpaid but how much depends on the market for your trades.

MP 60s were better deal but i do like the AP2s

I say don't ask questions like this after. You will never be happy with the answer. Love the new clubs and it's a great deal. If you don't you can get about $700 for them. I hope you love them

I think you did fine on the trade. I'm seeing all of the online retailers selling the AP2 for $999. The trade in value for I3 O-size is about $140. Basically you got the AP2s for $740, 25% off the going price , and you didn't have to deal with selling your old clubs.

Also, trade in on the X16s is $130ish and suggested retail for MP60s is $380ish, so another good deal.

I'm using valueguide.pga.com for these values, which is kind of suspect because of the Ebay affiliation but it seems to be what people use for their pricing.

Okay deal for the AP2, but a steal for the MP-60 (but you might want to re-shaft though). Plus, MP-60 is sweeter in looks and feel.

Thanks for the replies, although let me say that a set of new Ap2's in Argentina retails for $1100-$1200.
The pre-owned clubs market here is huge and the prices are way higher than in the US, that's why they gave me such good money for my 2 used sets.
I'm 100% satisfied with what I did. I traded a set I didn't use and one I didn't like so much for 2 sets I adore.
I even got a Vokey as a gift from the store
