I'm surprised a pitchmark repairer is considered and accessory. I played in a tournament where we had to show we had one in our bags and were fined or told to buy one from the pro shop if you didn't have one!

I can't decide between a towel and a pitch mark repairer, if pushed I'd say towel because at a pinch you can get away with using a tee to fix pitch marks, wiping your grips dry and mud off your clubs with your shirt would probably be considered bad form although I'd do it if I had to and deal with the consequences of ruining a shirt when I got home and the missus saw it

i should proly get a divot tool. don't know if they make a divot/ball marker that clips on the hat. Most i've seen arn't cheap tho. Youd think a divot tool wouldn't be more than 4-5 bucks. but i've seen them for $10-$15 :\

My bag towel. I've got an Augusta National bag towel that's made of heavy terry cloth. It's green on one side and white on the other. I use the white side to wipe and dry my hands and face. I use the green side to keep my clubs clean and dry. I take it off and wash it every couple of rounds so that it stays nice and clean.

Just make sure you know how to use it correctly!

I always stabbed around it then tapped down on it, never lifted up on it since I saw a pro on TV do it and tried to emulate him (don't remember who). But either he was doing it wrong or I didn't see exactly what I thought I saw.

Thanks for the tip, I have never seen anyone fix them that way before.

My single-most necessary item is my Bushnell Rangefinder. There's other things too but narrowing it down to one thing, that has to be it. It works not only for me but my wife as well and/or anyone else in my group that wants to use it or have me check their yardage for them. I NEVER volunteer yardage; they have to ask but I make sure they know I have it with me.
