Okay, all you Harvard yard braniacs... why is it when you see a shot on TV it often looks like a huge slice that's headed OB? I know its something to do with the camera angle and all, but even when it seems like the camera is right behind the player, sometimes the shot takes off dead right off the screen.

Wazzzup with that?

I've always thought the same thing. Always appears its shot straight right sometimes. I'd guess it's just camera angle and perception. I suppose it could be the way the camera lens captures the speed of the ball from certain angles as well.

Just the angle, standing begin them today the ball goes dead straight...well until the wind got a hold of it!

watching on ESPN last nite on one of the par 5s the second shots on everybody looked like instant slices of the club only to be large hooks down the hill to the green.I must say this course does not seem to favor lefthanders.

I used to wonder about that too as a kid. But throughout my years of watching golf on TV, I've just come to accept that a shot that looks like that is going to be pretty good. And more often than not, I'm right.
