does anyone know if these are game improvement irons? my iron game is slowing me down quite a bit out there and have been doing some research on different irons.

i'm considering going to a improvement iron like the TM r7 draw's ...

can anyone tell me if this will be an easier iron to hit?

The powermax irons are game improvement irons. Can't say whether the TM R7 draws will be easier to hit.

Have you considered getting your swing checked out before changing clubs? If you're set on changing clubs go and try things out, see what works for you.

I had a set of those. They are, I believe, what would be called super game improvement irons. Anyway, they were very easy to hit and really helped me when I was struggling to break 100. After I got down in the '80s however, they became a liability. Very easy to get the ball in the air but also very inconsistent in terms of distance and accuracy control, which is fairly typical of a lot of GI irons. As I say, they helped me get into the upper '80s but then I had to trade them in on a better set once I started needing to work the ball and stuff like that. When you're shooting 100+, pinpoint accuracy is not that critical. When your goal is to break 70, accuracy is everything. These days I'm playing Mizuno MX-23's. They're still cavity backs but they're a whole lot more accurate and are helping to lower my scores to the point that I'm now shooting low '80s with regularity.

So, bottom line, if you're having trouble making contact, getting the ball airborne, etc., the Powermax irons will be a great help to you. Great clubs for the money. If, however, you're a bogey golfer looking to take your game to the next level, I'd say they might hold you back.

You didn't specify a budget, but if you are looking for forgiveness, any of the Callaways - Big Bertha 2004 thru' 2008 or X-14 thru' X-20 series or the Ping G5, G10 or Rapture would be very good. I'd avoid the TM r7 Draw but would consider the plain TM r7 (non-draw). At a 14 h'cap, you could play most anything non-blade. Happy hunting.

Driver: TaylorMade RocketBallz 10.5-deg

I can get the ball in the air and in the general area i'm shooting everytime i swing ... the problem i have is accuracy... it's all over the place.

i liked the price of $300 for the r7 draws ...

what TM iron would you suggest for someone with my style. i'm definately a bogey shooter that needs more accuracy with his iron .. however i'm not good enough to use a full players iron yet.
