On Sunday I broke the head off of my r7 425 and now need to reshaft. I had the stock stiff graphite and liked it alot. i hit it well. Is there one shaft out there that would be a significant upgrade? Maybe one that his more highly recomended for the 425?

which shaft did you have on the R7? if you liked it a lot, then maybe you should stick with a shaft that has similar characteristics. I'm thinking a stock shaft for the 425 would have
low/mid kickpoint to help get the ball up. a torque of 3.5 - 3.7.

You can go with a shaft that has a softer tip b/c it's the 425.
Try checking out the following:
graffaloy Epic (great shaft. stable throughout)
diamana bassura (more towards the high-end)
Aldila VS Proto By You (mid-high end shaft. i haven't swung one yet)

If you're on a budget - Graphite Design YS 6+

I don't suggest ebaying shafts unless it's from a respected online dealer. and for the driver I do suggest pure'ing the shaft

I would highly recommend the UST V2 either the High Launch or the regular, it's a great shaft for the money.

I had the HL in my 425 TP and it was great, just a bit too much spin and the stiff wasn't quite stiff enough.
