Anyone ever order a club from Golfsmith and have it shipped to your door?

I won't ever again. I ordered the club on Sunday, August 10th. It charged me tax, so I am assuming it's coming from Florida. IT'S STILL NOT HERE! WTF!

That was NINE days ago! What gives?

If there's a Golfsmith brick and mortar store in your state then you get charged tax. Not sure about the 9 day thing though. IMO golfsmith pretty much sucks in general.

What kind of shipping did you get? If it's UPS or FedEx Ground that can be 7-10 business days sometimes, so you shouldn't worry yet. And as for tax, I'm pretty sure for online sales you get taxed for whatever the sales tax is in the state it is being delivered to. If where you live has a sales tax, then that is why you got taxed.

That is not entirely accurate. You only get charged sales tax if they have a retail store in your state.

Yep, you're right. Just googled and it and what you said is correct. My bad.

Did they email you a shipping confirmation with a tracking number? If so, you can see exactly where it is and when it is supposed to be delivered.

If not, go online and click the "view My Account" link and look at your order status. If it hasn't shipped yet after 9 days, they may be out of stock. Then it would be time to call them.

Tracking # not available. All it says is that they SHIPPED it on Friday. Since when does it take SIX DAYS just to SHIP an item? I specifically bought from a reputable company and not eBay so I would have it sooner, and it bit me in the butt.

Just be glad you don't live in Canada, Since I order everything for US it all takes over 7 days no matter what. Not to mention the crazy shipping costs.

Many times it takes this long. SOmetimes an item could be out or expected in at a certain time.

I've ordered a club from Golfsmith before, and the club was actually shipped from the manufacturer. But since your account status shows as 'shipped' I'd call them to get a tracking number and shipping method used. Did your order confirmation email show the shipping method used?

Anyone ever order a club from Golfsmith and have it shipped to your door?

August 1oth was a Sunday. No shipping on weekends, so Monday is when the order was processed. Day of processing is not included in shipping days. That is, Monday is the day that FedEX or UPS picked up the package. So, Tuesday is day 1. UPS and FedEx ground usually take 5-7

business days. That's the downside of cheap shipping. My experience is that 8-10 total days is about right, depending on intervening weekends and holidays. I've also found that shipping to a residential address, vs. a business address, adds a day. (They shipping companies have a much more frequent pick up/drop off system for business, which ship and receive daily.) The total number of days depends on which warehouse the item was shipped from. IIRC, Golfsmith has shipped to me from Texas, California, and Nevada. None are particularly close to you. As mentioned previously, tax has nothing to do with shipping origin, only shipping destination (whether the shipper has a "Business Presence" in the state - usually that means they have a brick and mortar store in the state.) Recheck your emails from Golfsmith. I always receive a UPS or FedEx tracking number from them, unless the item is backordered or otherwise delayed. But if that is the case, my order history doesn't show the item as "Shipped".

I don't see where you get 5-7. Everywhere I go says UPS Ground is 1-6.

I've made several orders from Golfsmith using standard ground shipping. The product has always arrived in 3-4 business days. As others said, i suggest you call them.

Do you not have a tracking number?

It was the HiBore hybrid listed in my sig. If it's not here by the end of the week, I'm calling.

Worst case scenarion shipping-wise:
Ordered it on Sunday. Shipped out lets say Wednesday. Could take up to 6 business days to get here. I'll just wait a little longer. Kinda frustrating right now because I have no club in between my driver and 3i!

    • Day 27 (7 Dec 25) - Got in a few swings with 9i and hard foam balls in backyard.  Setup weight fwd (rebuilt left foot really lets me feel the weight in a slightly painful way) - kept the backswing to around 9 o’clock focusing on contact and resulting divot pattern.  Like how the hard foam balls come off the face (almost like real balls in sound).  A good abbreviated session as I only able to hit about a dozen balls in the fading light.
    • Day 117 12-7 A bit of chipping practice today. Full swing- hit some real balls to see where Im at.
    • Not the part I was replying to: Handicaps did not go down much (like 0.14 on average IIRC?) when we went from 10/20*0.96 to 8/20. And a good chunk of that was from the +s.
    • I think he meant in the UK. The old system was completely different from the new one. 10/20 x 0.96 vs 8/20 would really only impact very low handicaps I think. The 0.96 serves to increase differentials for plus differentials, where 8/20 vs 10/20 works to lower differentials for all. I don't know many plus golfers who would be upset that their index got lower. A lot of really good players don't even really keep their handicaps up-to-date. They're much more interested in their WAGR rankings which get them entries to certain events.
    • Day 433 - 2025-12-07 Got some work in after Junior Elite before a night of sports (and the return of my wife!). Backswing work. Similar to what a lot of my juniors are doing.
