Forum Pet Peeves

What are some of your forum pet peeves? I have only one, really: messed up quotes. Some people forget the /quote and then the whole thing goes wonky...

Really, that's pretty good. I've seen other forums where the members don't realize that the text will wrap,
so they put
carriage returns
in all over the
place to manually
wrap their text.

Other forums have some people with 5" tall signatures.

Of course, people that can't spell, can't use paragraphs (i.e. six vertical inches of solid text), etc. bug me too, but we don't have any of those here either. Golfers must be smarter!

What are your forum pet peeves? Speak with immunity here, and if you hit on something we as administrators and moderators can fix, we'll do so.

I'd have to say people with terrible spelling or grammar. And I'm getting pretty annoyed by the R U LOL ROTFLOL stuff...

This doesn't happen too much here but people who put every f*ing club they own in their signature including their shaft frequencies, grips, bags, gloves, tees, handicap, dogs name, etc - Just list your 14 clubs and be done with it

People who post pictures that are so wide you have to scroll over.

People who feel a need to add a one line or one word reply to every post they see (probably just to up their post count). These are the people that have 1,000 posts but only posted about 5,000 words total :p

People who reply to everything by quoting the person above them. There are so people who do this every damn time, even when the thing they are quoting is 100 lines long. If you have to quote, just pick out the relevant stuff to quote.

For what it's worth, I think he's going to win another major this year. Let's see. I think he has both the British Open and US Open left to take to make a slam. My pick is the US Open.

I hear there will be a blizzard. Barry heard that it will be 50 degrees on his regular golfing day (Thursday). I told him that he won't be playing golf this week.

I wonder how far I can hit a golf ball with a snow shovel? Hmmm...
