My club already got a demo set of both. I hit the on the range and they are good irons, but don't feel much different then the MP-60s or MP-30s.

The difference in feel is in the weight of your wallet. While I love Mizuno's equipment, I don't understand how you can produce two clubs that are almost identical and have a demand for both. It's brilliant marketing, really. Just does not make sense as a consumer. (At least to me)

Yea the mp 62s and the mp30s that I play now look like the exact same irons. I wouldn't drop $900 on a new set when you could buy mp 30s on ebay for less than 400

Thanks a lot man. I'm an intermediate golfer who'se just getting back into the game. Would you say the mp-52's would last for a long time? Also, are they a good long term investment towards getting better at golf? Meaning, when I get better at golf will the 57 or 62 suit me better? Thanks for all of your insight.

I just picked up the 52s and was previously playing with the Ping G5s. A big step up for me in terms of performance and feel. I'm consistently inconsistent where I can shoot anywhere from 85 to 100 depending on what I'm thinking that day. I've been playing about 2 years now and it's time to step it up.

I think the 52s will last a very long time unless my handicap goes crazy right away and I'm a low single digit handicapper. The game of golf is tough enough and I think the 52s will give you the forgiveness you need for a very long time. If I ever get lower, that's when I'll reconsider on getting blades. But for now, some cavity is fine with me. Thanks, e

I've been looking for a new set of irons for far too long, my 7 - PW have no grooves anymore! I'm playing the MP-14 with DGS300 shafts now and have been for over 5 years. I'm looking at the MP 57 and MP 62 but I really want to spend some time on the range to see the ball flight. I'd love to also try out the project x shafts as well. Any one know where I can do this? I live in Orange County (SoCal).

My typical shot is high with a slight draw. I can draw and fade the ball (on purpose )but when things start to go bad it goes left. I'm concerned that any offset would cause me too much trouble.

I know I can get a 90 day from some golf shops but I would like to avoid the hassle and get it right up front.

Thanks!

i was about to pick up the 57's until these 2 came out.

im about a 10 handicap. what would you guys suggest?

i was thinking maybe a progressive set. maybe 52 and 57 or some combo

any input? please

Have you seen the 52's? They are basically a progressive set already. The milled out gap is only present in the long irons. You might be good with a full set of 52's but like me, I think we need to hit them to be sure.

I live in Ladera Ranch (Mission Viejo) and Arroyo Trabuco may have them. You can also try Tijeras Creek since they have a Hot Stix shop, but you have to pay. The best route I did is get them at Roger Dunn with the 5.5 Project X's and return them before 90 days to really find out. By far, the best feeling iron I have ever hit and the Project X's really make the ball flight amazing.

Exactly the same thing I was going to do. I was looking at all the great reviews from the 57s, but thought I need a little more forgiveness. They still have the workability.

Regarding the combo, I've heard from others and could say you don't really need them. 3 to 7 have the milled cavity for forgiveness and 8 to PW do not so you get that blade type feel. I think they already included that mix in this set. You guys will be happy with these.

thank you for the help erwin. i havent seen the 52s in person just the internet pics, and the ones they show on the net look to be a large cavity which is not what i am looking for.

i need to hit em, b/c i truly loved the 57's, but i did struggle with the 3-4 iron i nthe 57 so maybe the 52 is the answer.

No problem. Then a mix would probably be good. The 52s do have a slightly larger cavity vs. the 57s, but they are easier to hit. I find the 52s to still have the workability.

That would be a great combo. I think they are roughly the same price, so you can pick and choose. Good luck with the decision! Erwin
