I have Mizunos and I do like them a lot. I am changing though as I have decided to go with the Titleist ZM's with all the specs exactly how I want them.

The only relevant Titleist club ever to me was the 975 series..I'm a bit old school when it comes to golf, haven't been serious since late 2002 but getting back into it.

I never cared for any affordable or common Titleist club, they always looked and felt dead to me. The wedges are good and I couldn't be bothered about the Scotty Cameron line, especially since I've heard they're not made in the USA..for the money they damn well better be.

Ouch... :)

I feel that Mizunos are the highest quality forged clubs available..they're a little too expensive as far as MSRP goes, but some Callaways cost way more and aren't really relevant to good golfers in some cases (giant fusion headed irons, not the X-Forged, which are gorgeous)

SC is like the cigar of putters, Mizunos are about iron purity, SCs are about putter purity, but I never got into the SC series of flatsticks.

Im confused, you wont buy an SC because it wasnt made in the USA, but you will buy Mizunos?

If my source is correct, SC=china

Mizuno=Japan I don't buy kwalawallawingwang irons, if I have to w/ woods that's one thing, but I still have a choice w/ irons and stones

What does it matter where your irons are made? A GREAT majority of the top golf clubs are made in China, I believe Ping may be the only exception. Have they failed you in quality in the past versus clubs made in other nations?

I guess some would say that they want to keep their clubs made in the US, but China and Japan are both overseas. Now China has had some quality control issues with goods, but not so often with Golf Clubs.

That's a pretty ignorant comment, I truly hope it was a joke. I hope that any Chinese nationals reading this do not think all Americans think this way. It is true that China has had some quality control issues, especially with products produced on such a large scale. (And believe it or not, there are not that many consumers of new golf equipment in comparison to food products, home decor, ect.) but I don't think it's fair to classify a whole people with a mocking of their language. I would like to see more American made products but I am pretty happy at the moment to play my Chinese made clubs, they aren't letting me down at the moment.

I am a Chinese American and I understand that few are ignorant, but not many in this great country. In terms of quality control issues with Chinese produced goods, I think there is a fair amount of bias in our media coverage. If you really look into it, many of these "recall" product lines are owned, designed, and operated by American/Western firms. In fact, the American toy company Mattel has stated that the design of its toys were partially to blame for the massive recalls earlier this year. However our media coverage wholly blames the Chinese manufacturers.

That part was in jest. China has overtaken the market on virtually everything, and I'm so tired of it that I'll do my best to buy American clubs, if I have to buy something chinese it'll be at a steep discount or used. I'm not gonna pay $700 to buy something chinese when something US is the same price or a bit more, and I won't play chinese golf balls.

And you didn't even take what I said as badly as the guy you quoted. What I said was in jest, I'm just tired of China making everything. I like Asian people though, welcome and hopefully it was worth your efforts to get here.

I would have to vote for Mizuno

A buddy has the MP60's and another friend has the MP25's both are buttery smooth.

I would love to buy Ping because of the made in America, but I cant get used to the look, will give the i 10's another look though.

Time for some new irons next year

My take on China products.....as far as the grill business goes, they are junk.

In the Bag...Ping Hoofer

You the man Ben. Personally I like the 1gen forged irons the best. Thanks for the info.

You're welcome. Yeah, I am still sold on the 1st X-Forged, but being on staff with Callaway, I'm sure I'll wind up with the new ones in my bag come February.
