Clubs just got regripped, how long do I wait?

8 posts in this topic

I just received some clubs today from a friend I know. The grips were slippery, and a little worn out. So I just got them regripped about 2 hours ago. I was told that I cant golf with them for about 5-6 hours. But I wanted to know if I could do some practice swings with them anytime soon? How long should I wait?

Does practice swing mean going to the driving range, or just swinging?

Either way, I'd wait at least 4 hours for them to dry and adhere. That's just to be on the safe side.

No, not the driving range, just swinging the clubs. Alright thanks

Some people say an hour or so is ok. When I do mine I leave them overnight, it would be a pain in the ass to have to re-re-grip lol.

Yeah, I will have to just postpone the practice swings.

Overnight is a great time frame, but you can actually swing them not too long after regripping. They take hold quite quickly. Safely, 1 hour.
