I've been putting it off for way....way....way too long. My irons & wedges have needed new grips badly....for a long while now.

I was in local golf shop earlier today and saw some I liked the feel and look of....Golf Pride New Decade Multi-Compound (that's a mouthful). Looks like a red and black grip with the butt part being corded and the top red part is textured/ribbed.

The store manager said they've been getting good feedback about these and they seem to last a full year or better.

I'm getting 10 clubs done for $100. The'll be ready prior to my next round.

Is this a decent price?

What are your experiences with these grips?

That doesn't sound bad at all. I grip my own, so I save a little, but the grips I purchased this year ran me about $10 a club. The one shop locally that has the new Winn PCI grips, that's what they charge. Gripping your own isn't hard, time consuming. But after some practice its really simple and quick.

I've got those grips on my wedges, and tried it out on a couple of my drivers (I'm on my third this year, but that's another story.) I wouldn't disagree with anything obsessedgolfer said, but they're a little firm for my taste. I feel like a get a better grip with something just a little softer. I'm thinking about regripping my whole set with DD2s next Spring.

Thanks for the responses.

They did feel a bit firm on the cut down shafts in the store. My initial choice was going to be Tour Velvet Cords....so I'm okay with firm. I just decided to go with something different this time. Didn't want to spend the $$$ on new irons in the near future....so I felt like spicing up my old ones.

In the top three choices was the Lamkin Crossline Cord...another great grip.

Golfsmith sells them for 7.79 a piece. So, I'd say you got a good grip and a good price.

I use that grip on all my clubs. I love it. It has a great life span if you keep them clean.

We're in the same general area, and the shop I use charges $9.40 per club to regrip with that grip according to their website, so I'd say that's a fair price.

Picked up my sticks this morning.

They feel pretty good...sure are "busy" looking but seem to be very functional.

Looking forward to teeing it up in the morning after the frost delay is over.
