Superquad if you want to tinker with the weight, Tour Burner is you want to BOMB it, and the Callaway is somewhere in between there. I would personally go with the Superquad, only because I would like to play around with the weights.

Overall: All very good drivers.

Good Luck

i really liked the burner when i was trying out drivers. i dont know enough about the weighting systems to fool around with those so i would go with the burner.

I'm a fan of the SuperQuad. Wish I could get one myself. Don't really like the shape of the Tour Burner at address.

I vote for the FT-5 (or next year's FT-9). Get the I-Mix version if you want a little more versatility. Both are good clubs and you'll likely be happy with either.

I've played all three before. I would rule out the FT-5, it feels very hollow and not meaty compared to the Taylormade drivers. If you can get over that, it's a true bomber. My Tour Burner TP had the wrong shaft so I never hit a good drive with it. However, it felt solid. The Superquad is just a very solid and long driver. I never owned one but hit my friends many times. The black finish sure looks cool. I've reverted back to my r7 Quad because it felt so good at impact.

I have the r7 Quad and it is the best driver ive ever owned. It has such a good feel when striking the ball. My vote is for the r7 Quad

I couldn't recommend the Callaway because I've never hit it before, but I've had both the Superquad and the Tour Burner. I'd recommend the Tour Burner over the superquad only because it hit a little longer for me.

I have the Tour Burner and its a great club for me. An issue that some may have with it is that it is square as opposed to closed a degree or so. I'm not certain on the orientation of the other clubs...but if one doesn't release properly...one will have issues with losing balls out to the right.

Besides that...i enjoy the sub-460cc head and the stock shaft fits a wide range of swings.

That's what I'm having problems now with my burner. I'm thinking of getting the FTi from callaway, especially now it's reduced in pricing.

I can only speak on behalf of the R7. I had the superquad for almost a year and never did get to where I liked it. I have tried the other 2 in the stores on the monitor so it wouldn't be fair to give an assessment of those 2.

My issue with the R7 was it seemed to create too much spin. Left or right. The ball never held a straight line it was one way or the other. I see your handicap is a bit lower than mine so it may be something you like if your wanting to work the ball off the tee.

I had many long hits, as long as any other clubs I tried but again I couldn't control it even with making weight adjustments. I found a weight setup that I liked the best but it still got to the point where I was afraid to hit off the tee on tight holes. Only my opinion, to each is his own.

    • There are so many videos comparing and contrasting everything that I am both overwhelmed and more than a bit skeptical. Your comments above are much more valuable than hours of you-tube videos. Generally speaking, I’d much prefer to read something that someone took the time and trouble to write (such as your comments) than a bunch of videos, or worse, meaningless reviews that seem like they are all cut and paste selections of the same script. I’m more of a RTFM type than a watcher of “instructional” videos. By way of explanation, I don’t watch TV either.  So thanks - I’ll take that under advisement. I have an H3 that I bought for $10 that I’ve been carrying around but not sure why. Seems like a cool club, but I just don’t really know what to do with it.
