    • Day 4 (24 Jan 25) - Two separate drills today - first the hanger drill with 8i in the mirror working on keeping the hanger in contact with the lead forearm thru backswing and into the downswing.  The second session was lag drills with the putter starting with overall pace from about 15’, getting the ball to die just at or past the auto-return cup, finishing with a version of the step dril - rolling to/thru a set distance (9’ - 7’ - 5’ - 3’).  Rolled sets of four balls at each - got good rolls…especially since I was not using my regular putter but the longer broomstick style one.
    • Day 7: 1/24/25 Weight shift drills followed by chipping and putting drills through 50 mm gates from 11”. Only hit 1 gate in 51 putts. Getting close!
    • The way that I see this works is that your metabolic rate varies with your weight. If you weigh 150 lbs, your maintenance rate might be 1,800 calories a day. If you weigh 300 lbs, that might be 3,000 calories a day. I suspect that most people have a typical amount of calories that they consume in a given day. If that's 3,000 a day then eventually you're going to hit 300 lbs and stay there. If you want to get down to 150 lbs, then you need, long-term, to be eating 1,800 calories a day. That would have you losing roughly 2.5 lbs per week to begin with, but once you're half way there, it's more like 1.25 lbs and the last few lbs might take a few months. You can eat less than 1,800 calories and you'll get there faster. But if you go back to 3,000 calories a day then you're going to head back up to 300. Only way to stay at 150 is to stay at 1,800 calories/day. Or you spend 45 minutes a day on the treadmill and make that 2,000 calories. Hard to get around that though.
    • Day 116 - 2025-01-24 Stayed after lessons and got some work in. It'll be next week before I begin my downswing stuff.
    • Depends on the distance. I actually have a swingcaddie "monitor" (quotes because it just gives distance and swing speed) that I've started using on the range this past season before rounds to get my partial shot distances for the day. But generally, I have a ~3/4 swing that I've started using with SW, Gap, PW, and 9i. These are my go to shots now. I hit my "3/4" GW 85-90 yards most days, with ~12 yard gaps between the clubs most days .I' really fell in love with that swing this past season and have had a few rounds where I hit three of those inside 5 feet! Down to about 60 yards I'll take off a bit from that 3/4 SW shot. 60 yards and in I'm hitting feel pitch shots with LW of GW.
