Congratulations to Davis Love III, who earned his 20th career win at the Children's Miracle Network Classic at Walt Disney World earlier today, thereby securing a lifetime PGA Tour exemption. How about giving a tip of the cap for Davis for a great career!

I'm happy for him. A few months ago, I wondered if he was going to slide into mediocrity before lighting up the Champions Tour in a few years. Now he looks, once again, to be a viable contender on the PGA Tour.

Considering his injuries, I think he had a pretty good year. There were many tournaments where he was atop or near the top of the leaderboard on Thursdays and Fridays. He would then lose ground and be out of contention. (Camilo Villegas suffered from this, too, earlier in the year.)

I don't think he'll be a dominant player but his goals are changing. He's looking forward to the President's Cup like Kenny Perry was looking forward to the Ryder Cup. Here's hoping he makes it.
