I'm watching this thread. I love my Vokeys and I like the worn look they are starting to get. But I remember how they worked at one time. It's not a huge deal to me, the spin thing. But I'd love to take these same wedges (especially the 55 & 60) back to day one. And as odd as it may sound (I'm no pro obviously), I want to maintain my USGA legality. I'm a stickler for the rules.

Is it just for wedges or is meant to be used for irons too?

You could use groove sharpeners for irons, too, but it is reccomended for wedges.

I just want to know of anyone with some experence with groove sharpeners, to see if they really work or not.

They can't "sharpen" your grooves, of that would be breaking USGA rules, if the grooves are worn down, the "sharpener" can bring them back to new state, as someone with a vokey wanted, but if you have a brand new club and use this, you should see no difference, and if you do, it is most likely illegal.
