I am thinking about adding a hybrid club to the bag, but don't know which loft would be best. I hit my 2iron and 3iron well off the tee and tight lies, but struggle with them out of the rough on longer shots. I struggle with the woods always, so I am looking for something with more consistency. I want a club for long shots out of the rough and occasionally off the tee. I am leaning toward the 2H(17*), but think a 3H(20*) might see more play. I have never used a hybrid and have only hit a couple. Last night I got an "inexpensive" 22* from Wally World just to experiment with. At the range today, the club hits well but the flex is to whippy. After goofing off with this one, I think a hybrid would be a good option to have in the bag. I have settled on the Callaway Heavenwood due to the square setup and they are discounted on the preowned site(ends today). If a hybrid turns out well for me, I will probably get more than one. So which one should I start off with, a 2H or a 3H.
Thanks in advance

I added two hybrids this season after trying one a pro I play with had. I got the Titleist 585h in 19 and 21 degree with the ProForce V2 104 gram shaft. These things are great. I removed my 5-wood and rarely use the 3-wood any more. A well struck 19 degree hybrid flies nearly as far as a 3-wood with greater control. They are great for T-shots on short Par 4s.
