OK, today I used a rental driver, a SQ (traditional shape, not square). It had a 9.5 loft and a stiff factory shaft (Diamana, I think).

The driver was REALLY lightweight. I could get around with this club faster than anything else I have played. I think I was rotating the head through faster also as my slice all but disappeared. I have played the following clubs:

R5, speeder shaft
R7 draw, factory shaft
Nike Ignite, Fujikura 65g shaft
Nickent 4DX, factory shaft

All of these clubs felt a LOT heavier. As for the Sasquatch...is the clubhead itself lighter, or was it the factory shaft, or both? I am seriously considering getting a lighter setup and don't know if I should re-shaft an old club with a light shaft or just get one of those old sasquatch drivers.

Advice?

the stock shaft is light on the sasquatch. the head itself is regarded as a fairly heavy head. if you are looking for a lighter set up, try looking at the 07 burner, i love mine and the club is like a feather.

I agree with Tim. My friend has the 07 Burner, and I actually have a hard hook with it because it's so light. I have the SQ 5000 which I think is a pretty heavy driver. I liked it for a little while but now it really doesn't suite my taste.

I have an 06 or 07 sasquatch, I had to make the switch my my R7 though. I can hit the sasquatch futher but it seems to be made to be a "workable" which isnt what I want out of my driver. i just want my driver to not screw me

I hope this isn't too off topic, but here goes.
I've kinda been scoping some SQ drivers and I've notice something I can't explain by researching on the net. There is the original SQ and the SQ 5000 (obviously I'm not talking about any of the "square" versions here). But I've also seen pics of a SQ that has "4950" printed on the sole. I researched it on the PGA Value guide and only saw pics of the original and the 5000 model.

Could anyone explain to me where the "4950" printed driver falls in the lineup? From what I can figure the "original" was 4950 on the MOI but not all of them had it printed on the sole? I really don't know. Anyway, maybe someone can answer this question. The Nike website is always poorly lacking in full spec info. I'd seriously consider this driver if it is true that it is a head heavy club with a light shaft. I could see myself getting one and adding a 65 V2 High Launch as I can't really hit a light shaft without going to hook city. I'm defining a light shaft as 60ish grams or lower.

Anyway thanks for any input.
